We are the home of the Big 5 Wild Warriors — five legendary animal heroes drawn from South Africa’s five great cultural nations: Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, Tsonga, and Afrikaner. Together they carry the ancient philosophy of Ubuntu into every adventure, every page, and every product we create.
Our Story
WildKidz was born from a simple but powerful observation: South African children are growing up surrounded by heroes from elsewhere. International books, international characters, international worlds. Meanwhile, the richness of their own heritage — the clan names, the praise traditions, the languages, the values — was quietly fading into the background.
We built WildKidz to change that.
Founded by South African entrepreneur and author Velaphi Dlamini, DMM Afrika Group creates original character-led intellectual property that transforms authentic African storytelling into premium books, collectible toys, educational experiences, and digital adventures. Our flagship series — The Big 5 Wild Warriors — is the first South African illustrated children’s adventure novel to give every major cultural community a hero of their own, in a single story, at international production quality.
What We Believe
We believe heritage is not something to be preserved in a museum. It is something to be lived, celebrated, and passed on — through stories that children choose to read because they cannot put them down, and through characters they want to carry with them everywhere they go.

The Big 5 Wild Warriors: The Heartstone of Ubuntu book links via QR code to wildwarriorsuniverse.com — a free educational platform offering narrated stories, interactive heritage lessons in six South African languages, language games, health education, and financial literacy content for children aged 7 and up.
A Roblox-style gaming experience is in development with Sea Monster Digital, extending the warriors into interactive gameplay for the first time.
